What the H5P?

As part of the Digital_Ed workshops, Orla Skehill provided a highly interesting demonstration of H5P - the tool for adding, managing, styling and organising your moodle page. Many useful tools were covered. It was shown how to make youtube clips interactive where videos would pause automatically and students must complete a short quiz prior to proceeding, with a summary quiz at the end. Documentation tools were shown to be an excellent alternative to written or quiz questions and interesting layout features were examined to vastly improve the image of your moodle page from one long scrolling column.

I look forward to using H5P to boost student engagement in my classes next year, and hope to build some of these tools during the remainder of the Covid-19 lockdown.
